  • Welcome!

I'm Lisa, owner and designer here at Bloomsberry Floral. While my background is in graphic design, I fell in love with floral design and have been creating floral arrangements for weddings and events for well over 10 years. It has been a great accomplishment to see my work published in Oregon Bride, Portland Bride and Groom, Style Me Pretty, Elizabeth Ann Designs and others. Still today, the thing I enjoy the most is seeing the smiles that flowers bring to people.

I hope you will stay a while and enjoy the site. Have a look at my current and past blog posts, feel free to browse my portfolio for inspiration, or leave a comment; I would enjoy hearing from you.

Philadelphia Wedding

A while ago I received a nice surprise in my in-box. One of my brooch bouquet clients sent me a link to her wedding photos – to – die – for – beautiful. The thing about sending off these creations is that I never really know how the whole look ends up…was it a casual affair or a lavish one? Well in the case of Liza and Nick it was lavish all the way!  It is always a treat to put the face of the bride to the bouquet, Thanks Liza.

All photos by Cliff Mautner Photography and just in case your dyeing to know the location of their reception, it was at Cescaphe Atrium at the Curtis Center – Stunning wedding!

Want to see the bouquet up close? here is the original post of her brooch bouquet.

Maysara Winery Wedding

I loved this wedding…of course I say that about all my weddings. The wedding of Patrick and Sara was held at the breathtakingly new Maysara Winery.  This spectacular vineyard blew me away when I drove up to the main building and let me tell you, they are not even finished yet. Everywhere I turned I was struck by the sheer beauty in everything -from the gorgeous floors to the gigantic arched doorways, they truly brought beauty into every focal point.

Sara, the bride, had this vision of soft romance, focusing on purple and gray hues along with natural tones. I found these patina french buckets in different sizes and used 2 per table, they were so beautiful with all the soft  purple flowers and hanging amaranthus. we carried this theme into the ceremony as well.

The bouquets were more of the same soft pallet of purples and whites with the hanging amaranthus and burlap wrapped stems.

Like I said, this place was simply stunning and I see many, many weddings taking place here in the future. Thanks to Maysara Winery for their hospitality, Aralani photography, I can’t wait to see the pics and to Magnifique for the fine coordination of the day!

Barn Wedding

This was a beautiful wedding set on the private residence of the bride and groom.  There were so many details, so I’m just going to let all the pics speak for themselves. Keep in mind I’m no photographer, but I could not stop myself from taking photos of all the cute ideas.

And last…the bride. she was absolutely stunning.

A big shout out to Gabrielle of Black Swan Events who coordinated the whole affair. I cannot wait to see the pics from the photographer! Congrats to Noel & James!

Garden Wedding at the Queen Ann

This wedding was colorful and fun. It was nice to be able to make centerpieces that the guests could take home and make use out of – using such things like rosemary and sage, plus flowers they could actually plant in their yards made it fun.

Although the reception tables we’re of a garden feel, the bride and groom wanted to use the vibrancy of red and turquoise to add some pops of color. The bride and the bridesmaids carried all red bouquets. I have to say that I have not been to the The Queen Ann Victorian Mansion in quite some time, but if your looking for a beautiful garden for your next wedding or function, you must check them out.  Congrats to Andrea & Ken – Thanks for letting us create beautiful flowers for your day.

Pinwheel Wedding

Tamara & Casey were married at Oaks Park in the Dance Pavilion and pinwheels fit the bill for this location perfectly. They were so colorful and in abundance…hanging from the ceiling, on all the tables as the main focal point centerpiece and on the arch(did not get a pic of it, bummer). The bride tirelessly made every single pinwheel and I have to say they looked perfect – every single one of them. Tamara’s color scheme was green and orange, she requested an almost all green bouquet with an organic and wild feel – super fun! Her bridesmaids were of the same feel but mostly orange.  I wish I had been able to show you the bride, she looked stunning and her dress was amazing! I’ll be hitting up the photographer for sure. I had fun with this wedding, as I’m sure the bride did too – sitting at work in their newly open coffee shop – Full Moon Creations, making pinwheel after pinwheel…well Tamara, they looked fantastic. Congrats to you both and thanks for letting us create some beautiful flowers for you!
