  • Welcome!

I'm Lisa, owner and designer here at Bloomsberry Floral. While my background is in graphic design, I fell in love with floral design and have been creating floral arrangements for weddings and events for well over 10 years. It has been a great accomplishment to see my work published in Oregon Bride, Portland Bride and Groom, Style Me Pretty, Elizabeth Ann Designs and others. Still today, the thing I enjoy the most is seeing the smiles that flowers bring to people.

I hope you will stay a while and enjoy the site. Have a look at my current and past blog posts, feel free to browse my portfolio for inspiration, or leave a comment; I would enjoy hearing from you.

Barn Wedding

This was a beautiful wedding set on the private residence of the bride and groom.  There were so many details, so I’m just going to let all the pics speak for themselves. Keep in mind I’m no photographer, but I could not stop myself from taking photos of all the cute ideas.

And last…the bride. she was absolutely stunning.

A big shout out to Gabrielle of Black Swan Events who coordinated the whole affair. I cannot wait to see the pics from the photographer! Congrats to Noel & James!

Garden Wedding at the Queen Ann

This wedding was colorful and fun. It was nice to be able to make centerpieces that the guests could take home and make use out of – using such things like rosemary and sage, plus flowers they could actually plant in their yards made it fun.

Although the reception tables we’re of a garden feel, the bride and groom wanted to use the vibrancy of red and turquoise to add some pops of color. The bride and the bridesmaids carried all red bouquets. I have to say that I have not been to the The Queen Ann Victorian Mansion in quite some time, but if your looking for a beautiful garden for your next wedding or function, you must check them out.  Congrats to Andrea & Ken – Thanks for letting us create beautiful flowers for your day.

Pinwheel Wedding

Tamara & Casey were married at Oaks Park in the Dance Pavilion and pinwheels fit the bill for this location perfectly. They were so colorful and in abundance…hanging from the ceiling, on all the tables as the main focal point centerpiece and on the arch(did not get a pic of it, bummer). The bride tirelessly made every single pinwheel and I have to say they looked perfect – every single one of them. Tamara’s color scheme was green and orange, she requested an almost all green bouquet with an organic and wild feel – super fun! Her bridesmaids were of the same feel but mostly orange.  I wish I had been able to show you the bride, she looked stunning and her dress was amazing! I’ll be hitting up the photographer for sure. I had fun with this wedding, as I’m sure the bride did too – sitting at work in their newly open coffee shop – Full Moon Creations, making pinwheel after pinwheel…well Tamara, they looked fantastic. Congrats to you both and thanks for letting us create some beautiful flowers for you!

Summer Flowers

Missed the sun this weekend real bad, but luckily for me I get to do flowers and cheer people up(including myself). These were done for Ara over at Aralani Photography for a small wedding show that she did over at Kitchen Kaboodle. Lately I seem to have this fascination with using old coffee cans and finding ways to cover the up with interesting stuff. This one is just twine, but I love how it turned out. I’m experimenting with a few by leaving them in the rain to rust, lord knows we have enough rain to help move my project along a bit faster then the norm. I’m not sure what they will end up looking like but I’ll keep you posted!

Lisa, I love the above flowers. I am not much of a fan of purple but you turned me into someone who at least appreciates the color in the above boquet! My favorite, the vases! I would have never known they were old coffee cans! Gorgeous!
